I needed an air cleaner for my apartment due to the fact that I am a medical marijuana patient in Los Angeles and I keep the windows closed most of the time and the air conditioner running.

The unit is a little larger than I expected but was able to find a location that has it out of the way of foot traffic and also away from the ceiling fan. A magazine placed on top of the unit also helps to hide it at first glance.

The sound that others have commented on is not an issue to me. I have used the unit on high only (no jokes please) and it sounds similar to a 20″ box fan on low setting. Noticeable but not overbearing and if you live on a major street like I do the white noise is actually nice for sleeping yet does not interfere with sound from the computer speakers or tv.

Waking up the first day after using it all night had me convinced this was worth the purchase. The air smelled clean and my nasal passages were clear, also I did not have the normal “bong cough” that many smokers have after years of medicating with medical marijuana.

Another plus to me was that this unit does not have the uv light or ozone generating capability. It just cleans the air and also I have read of health issues from the units that generate ozone into closed areas.
